Learn A Bit About Our Family

The Gilbertson family has cherished this land since 1947, when Harlan Laredo Gilbertson, our grandfather, first purchased it. What began as farmland soon became a beloved retreat for our family, and today, we proudly open it to the public as a campground. Over the decades, we've toiled the soil, tended to grazing animals, planted and harvested trees, and created countless memories along the river's edge.

For us, this land is not just a business—it's a legacy of conservation, family tradition, and a deep respect for nature. Every trail, campsite, and tree stands as a testament to the generations that came before, who camped here before we were even thought of. Our vision is to share this sacred space with others, offering a place where families can connect, nature can be appreciated, and memories can be made.

what is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation/No show policy: We do not offer refunds for rebooks or no-shows. If you reserved the site, it is not available for other potential guests. There are no cash refunds given of any kind. Cancellations are charged a $25 fee. We do work with our guests to rebook their stay within the same camping season as we understand life doesn't always go as planned. A 12-month camping voucher can be extended if necessary*. At the same time, we need advanced notice in this regard. See the 14 day rule

14-day rule: If a cancellation is received more than 14 days before your arrival, you will receive a rebook/return to camp voucher for the full amount minus any booking fees, locking fees or credit card processing fees. The return o camp voucher is to be used on any open site during the current camping season* and we will work with you to rebook your stay. When cancellations are received less than 14 days before your arrival, there will be no voucher ssued unless the campground can rebook your site. You must work with management in this case to rebook your site from our waitlist or a special social media campaign. If the site is rebooked, then a return to camp voucher will be issued for the full amount minus any booking fees, locking fees, and a $25 cancellation fee. If we are unable to resell your site on short notice, there will be no refunds and no vouchers as the site is vacant.

How do I make a reservation?

Making a reservation at Whiskey Creek Family RV is easy and can be done online through our website or by calling our reservation line. We highly recommend making reservations in advance, especially during peak seasons, to secure your preferred campsite.
